Onslow Road slip remediation

We're constructing a new retaining wall to remediate the road undermining in this area.

About the project

We'll be remediating the slip undermining the southbound side of Onslow Road (towards Khandallah), northwest of the properties at 155 and 157 Onslow Road.

This will involve the construction of an anchored steel pole retaining wall. The new retaining wall will ensure that the accessway is safer and more resilient for road users and pedestrians.

Work will begin on Monday 23 September 2024 and is planned to be complete by Friday 22 November 2024.

1GEO Limited will carry out this work.

Traffic management

Onslow Road will have one lane closed for the duration of the contract, and a reduced speed limit.

The road will remain open for resident access to properties, including vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians at all times. Sometimes residents may need to wait to be escorted past the site during work hours.

Construction will occur between 7am to 6pm from Monday to Saturday but stop/go traffic management will remain in place 24/7.
