The Newlands shopping centre area has the potential to become a more vibrant and attractive centre that better meets the needs of the local community.
The Newlands Centre Plan is a long-term plan, focused on the suburban centre area, that aims to help realise the area’s potential. It was developed by the Council following community consultation, planning and design processes.
By developing the Plan we hope to show how Newlands Centre and its surrounds can be improved and enhanced, creating a more attractive, vibrant and people-friendly area.
