Customer service representatives

Be the Council’s first point of contact for a range of services. Join our Customer Services team.

Our Customer Service team provide a vital service to the community, responding to phone calls or face-to-face enquiries across a wide range of topics. You name it they discuss it – events, roading, animal welfare, rubbish, planning, rates, recreation facility timetables, biosecurity, and public gardens. Plus they answer many other questions relating to the mahi (work) the Council does for the community and our city.

The environment is dynamic – no two days are the same and our representatives get to talk to interesting people. Using technology, they look for and provide information and answers to questions and make sure customers' needs are met.

Join our fun team

When you join our Contact Centre, we provide training and ensure you have the skills, tools and resources to be successful.

The team are young, fun, and vibrant. They come from all different backgrounds, such as retail, hospitality, and customer service – most are starting their career, but some are returning to work.

While we offer flexible working, the team love coming together to work in our offices, which have stunning harbour views. And all enjoy the opportunity to take on rosters that let them work around other interests and life commitments.
