Our current partners
We partner with a range of organisations to make sure the LeisureCard is easy to obtain for people who would benefit most from discounted access to our facilities.
A list of our current partners is available on our members page.
Why are we working in partnership?
As part of our 2019 review of the LeisureCard scheme it was noted that if cost is a barrier to recreation then often there are many other barriers too. We recognised that there are some amazing organisations addressing these barriers holistically for individuals in Wellington city.
We have positioned the LeisureCard scheme to empower these organisations, and in-particular connect the scheme to support workers offering interpersonal support – to ensure that everybody gets equitable access to recreation in Wellington.
How to get involved
If your organisation supports people who would benefit from the scheme
If your organisation supports people who would benefit from discounted recreational access we would love to hear from you.
We are especially interested in organisations that support individuals or whānau through interpersonal support from social workers, and also organisations that offer medium-term support – in that there are several meaningful touchpoints with a client, but also some defined wellbeing outcomes that you are working towards.
If your organisation would like to support the scheme with discounted products or services
We are also interested in hearing from organisations that would like to support the LeisureCard scheme and our members by offering their products or services at a special discounted rate.
Currently Wellington Zoo and Zealandia are offering concession rates to LeisureCard members. If your organisation would be interested in opting in to support our members, get in touch to chat with us about how it can work.
