Location: Between Buckley Road and Houghton Bay Road in the suburb of Houghton Bay.
How to get there: Houghton Bay Road. No 23 bus to Houghton Bay/Southgate or No 3 bus to Hungerford Road plus a 15-minute walk.
Entrance and exit points: Buckley Road and Houghton Bay Road.
Brief description: The park is an area of regenerating bush on the west side of Houghton Bay Road.
A well-formed track from the bottom of the park leads up to Buckley Road and the lookout. A side track joins the Southern Walkway, which runs through the park.
The park is opposite Te Raekaihau headland, which has amazing views.
Parking: Off-street parking at top of Houghton Bay Road near sports fields.
Accessibility: Track to Buckley Road steep in places.
Dogs: Off-leash dog exercise area next to Houghton Bay Road, just below the school.
Features: At the park entrance at the top of the valley, there are grassed areas, and a playing field. The lower part of the park has a large grassed area with another playground - Houghton Bay Rd play area, a basketball hoop and seats.
