Swim memberships allow you to swim as often as you'd like at any of our seven council pools.
If your child is enrolled with SwimWell you don't need to sign them up for a swim membership. Children who are currently taking lessons with SwimWell are entitled to free entry for recreational swimming at our pools.
Please bear in mind that swim memberships do not include free access to the spas/saunas at our facilities. If you'd like a membership that provides access to these additional facilities, (as well as our gym and fitness classes) we'd recommend considering a ClubActive membership.
Membership options
Your first step is to decide whether you’d like a monthly, fortnightly or yearly swim membership. Your swim membership will allow you to swim as many times as you like at our Council pools.

Monthly or fortnightly membership
Monthly or Fortnightly swim memberships are paid by Direct Debit and have no long-term contracts. These memberships can be suspended once a year for a minimum of two weeks and maximum of three months.
In order to cancel a fortnightly/monthly swim membership, a cancellation request must be sent in writing to recreation@wcc.govt.nz at least five days before the next direct debit payment is due in order to prevent being charged for the next month/fortnight.

Yearly membership
Yearly swim memberships require payment in full within 5 days of membership starting.
Payment can be made by credit card over the phone - phone 021 247 9745 or visit your pool.
Your membership card will be available when payment is received in full.
These memberships can be suspended once a year for a minimum of 2 weeks and maximum of 3 months. There is a $100 cancellation fee if the membership is cancelled before the year is completed.
