Pay a parking ticket

Pay at a PostShop

You can pay your parking ticket at any local PostShop that offers Bill Pay. Payment must be for the full amount and within 28 days of issue.

Pay at our Council service desks

You can pay by credit card or debit card at one of our Council service desks.

If you don't pay on time

Payment is due 28 days after the ticket is issued. If you don't pay within this time, we will send you a reminder notice and give you a further 28 days.

After this period, unpaid tickets may be referred to debt collection agency Baycorp for follow-up action. If payment is still not made, your infringement may then be referred to the Ministry of Justice, where debt collection is managed by the Courts. You will have to pay any extra costs and your vehicle may be clamped or seized by the Ministry of Justice.

If you can't pay the fee in full by the due date, contact the Parking Payments team as soon as possible and before the due date so we can discuss payment options.
