Trade parking coupons

A trade coupon allows tradespeople to park their goods vehicles near their place of work.

Digital trade parking permits

The Council will move to digital trade parking permits from March 2025. You can continue to use paper trade coupons until 30 June 2025.

Find out more about the transition from paper trade coupons to digital permits on our digital trade parking permits project page.

How trade parking coupons work

If you use a vehicle designed exclusively for the purpose of trade, you can buy a coupon that will allow you to park in resident, coupon or Pay by Plate parking spaces.

Coupons can't be refunded, transferred or exchanged.

Where to buy

You can buy trade parking coupons at one of our Council service desks.

When buying them, you will need to show evidence of your trade – for example, a business card or job sheet.

Types of trade parking coupons

To park your trade vehicle in suburban areas signposted as resident parking and coupon parking zones, you need a suburban trade coupon.

To park your trade vehicle in central city areas with Pay by Plate parking, you need an inner city trade coupon.
