Neighbours Month

Wellington City Council is encouraging communities across the city to get together in March, as part of the national campaign led by Neighbours Aotearoa. Getting to know our neighbours a little better is the first step towards flourishing, inclusive and resilient neighbourhoods.

Neighbours Aotearoa – March 2025

Any day that you connect with your neighbours contributes to a stronger neighbourhood, but every year in March we’re all encouraged to go a little further. This year’s theme is ‘Let’s Celebrate’.

Celebrate with your community

Create a celebration for your community

Together, we can foster a sense of whanaungatanga and manākitanga that makes our neighbourhoods happier and more resilient places.

Whether you live in an apartment building, a marina or a suburban street, how can you grow your community connections this March?

Tea is for Together: This year, Wellington City Council has 100 morning tea packs to give away to help you bring your neighbours together. Fill in our online form to request a pack for your group of three or more neighbouring households.
