Local Food Week, 1-9 March 2025

A festival celebrating Wellington’s local food scene and the community that flourishes when we grow, cook and eat together.

Wellington City Council will be supporting Seeds to Feeds again in 2025 to create a week of delectable local food events. Last year’s offerings had something to tempt everyone, including a Gourmet and Functional Fungi Workshop, local food tastings, inside looks at local food organisations, picnics and morning teas. This year we’re shaping up to bring you even more local food festivities.

Seeds to Feeds specialise in building and strengthening local food communities in our neighbourhoods. Through kai, they nurture opportunities to meet interested others, share knowledge, skills and stories, and make warm connections.

If your group or organisation would like to be part of the programme for LFW25, please complete this form to register your event. If you’d like some help to develop an event, please email us at communitysupport@wcc.govt.nz.

A calendar of events will be available on this page and in libraries, community centres, other community spaces, and supporting businesses from early February.
