Kicking-off on Saturday 25 April 2026, this is the fourth time ever the team has staged their Anzac Day game in Aotearoa, making it one for the history books.

The capital’s Sky Stadium, which recently hosted a sell-out All Blacks and Black Ferns double-header, as well as the New Zealand football exclusive between Wrexham AFC and Wellington Phoenix, will play host to the One New Zealand Warriors against an opponent still to be announced.

Cameron George, Chief Executive Officer of One New Zealand Warriors says: “We’re eager to finally head back to Wellington next year for our Anzac Day match. We’ve had a great run in the city with three back-to-back wins since 2016; so we’re keen to put on another great performance for the people of Pōneke.”

Warrick Dent, Chief Executive at Sky Stadium, says: “The Warriors are one of the country’s most popular sports teams, and we are thrilled to be bringing them, and the NRL, back to Sky Stadium in 2026. The Anzac Day fixture promises to be a special occasion, a great addition to our event schedule, and one that we know fans from Wellington and across the country will be excited by.”

Mark Oldershaw, Chief Executive at WellingtonNZ, adds: “Wellington continues to prove itself as a world-class host city for major sporting events, from the energy of the crowds to the seamless coordination across venues and local businesses, the capital delivers an unmatched experience for athletes, fans, and the community. Whether you're a local or flying in, mark your calendar – this will be a great match-up to honour the Anzac spirit – fierce on the field, but united off it.”

In March 2023, Sky Stadium hosted enthusiastic and passionate fans in a winning season-opener against the Newcastle Knights; and back in July 2019 a nail-biting one-point win against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.

Tickets will go on sale via Ticketek. Keep an eye out on the Sky Stadium event page for further details: www.skystadium.co.nz
